Each year, La Commanderie du Bontemps organizes the international competition for wine clubs from Universities and Schools: Left Bank Bordeaux Cup. For 2021, several schools and universities were participating such as Harvard, Oxford, Polytechnique, HEC, ENA, UCLA, Yale, etc.
In the context of the health crisis linked to Covid-19 and with the evolution of our habits, our client was looking for a solution that will answer to its need in term of price, ease of use and functionality. The challenge was above all to find a solution accessible to all, which could ensure interactivity throughout the competition.
La Commanderie du Bontemps has chosen Klipso as a partner to support it in its project. After the first demonstrations carried out by our sales team, our 360 ° offer including software and Tech Services impressed our client. Indeed, our extensive experience in the event industry and our comprehensive offer reassured our client in his choice.
To meet our client expectations, we created a digital platform that allowed the 10 teams participating in the competition to answer a series of theoretical questions from the first round. Each correct answer was awarded a point. The second test allowed students to answer tasting questions. Each test consisted of 3 questions which brought respectively 5, 3 or 2 points. (We would like to point out that nearly 2000 bottles of 5cl were sent to the teams upstream, so that each one can answer the tasting questions). Participants answered through our quiz feature, and could chat live. A moderator controlled the chat and decided to display the messages or not. The results were displayed and participants could interact live on the platform.
On site, we ensured the capture and live streaming of the jury who was present in the cellar of Château Lafite Rothschild and could see all the teams connected simultaneously.
To achieve the objectives of La Commanderie du Bontemps, we have dedicated a project manager whose mission was to support them throughout the event. Upstream, training sessions on the new platform have been set up. During the event, the project manager was present as a live support, to answer technical questions and ensure the success of the event.
A successful event in the midst of the Covid period, giving pride of place to innovative solutions such as the Participant Virtual Room, allowing both Live monitoring and interactions with the audience through LiveChat and Live Quiz.
