How did Leni face the challenges related to the resumption of the TFWA ASIA PACIFIC event after a four-year hiatus and the provision of international services in Singapore?

Leni was approached to provide services at the TFWA ASIA PACIFIC event. TFWA is an association of brands that aims to foster the growth of the global Duty Free and travel retail industry by identifying trends, providing a business platform, and representing the interests of its members and the industry. Leni provided several services, including online pre-registration, online exhibitor registration, a technical guide, and computer equipment rental.

TFWA is at the heart of a $79bn industry comprising brands, retailers and landlords. The Association aims to be a positive force for that industry by promoting interaction between stakeholders and creating an environment for growth.

The challenge

The main challenge for Leni was to support the TFWA teams in resuming the event after a long interruption and provide service offerings tailored to the constraints of the current situation. It was necessary to ensure smooth online exhibitor registration, seamless pre-registration, comprehensive technical guidance for participants, and the availability and functionality of all necessary computer equipment. Additionally, Leni had to coordinate its activities internationally to ensure the successful execution of the event in Singapore.

The solution

Leni implemented a user-friendly online platform for pre-registration and exhibitor registration. This allowed participants to easily register before the event, avoiding queues and cumbersome administrative procedures on-site. A comprehensive technical guide was developed to provide exhibitors with all the necessary information about the event, booth locations, the technical services e-shop, etc.

Leni provided logistical support for computer equipment rental, ensuring that all necessary equipment was available at the event venue. Technical teams were deployed to ensure the setup and proper functioning of the entire IT infrastructure.

The result

Thanks to the efficient services provided by Leni, the TFWA event was successfully relaunched after a four-year hiatus. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the international organization of the event, customer feedback was extremely positive. Although participation numbers were slightly lower than in 2019, the event ran smoothly and was praised by the TFWA director in a letter of appreciation addressed to Leni. The association expressed great satisfaction in being able to successfully relaunch the event and highlighted the importance of the services provided by Leni in achieving this goal.
